THAT’s early childhood began in the rural foothills of an ancient Macedonian village and was shaped by growing up inside a domestic goat.
It wasn’t until the early 80’s where THAT, after hearing Joy Divisions ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, decided to leave the goat and go it alone.
Travelling to the Big Apple THAT was quickly adopted into the current art scene by contemporaries of Andy Warhol such as; Amy McGrath, Phil Moose, Stephen Nome and Will Barrow. None of whom went onto do anything of note. THAT continued to work throughout the 80’s into the 90’s but in the early 2000’s became disillusioned with the crass monetisation of art and fled to London.
THAT worked for a while primarily as a wax work stand in at Madame Tussaud’s. The work was long and humiliating, standing for hours in one pose while school children mocked him for his unconvincing portrayal of historical figures. In particular Martin Luther king Jnr and Mama Cass.
Children can be cruel.
THAT’s artwork had a bit of a revival in mid 2020. Covid had left people shut in and bored out of their minds with nothing else to do but look at their screens and make sourdough bread.
Included in this site is artwork that was made over the last few years. The early work was destroyed by the goat who had managed to track down THAT, and enter his apartment by pretending to be a Bitcoin salesman from the past. After the goat had come clean about his identity he went about smashing plates, eating tzatziki and destroying THAT’s artwork.
Eventually the relationship found a healthy compromise and the goat is now working as THAT’s art agent.
